Motions between the Earth, Moon, and Sun

Mass The amount of matter or substance that makes up an object
Gravity The force that attracts objects towards each othe
Orbit The path an object follows as it moves around another object
Revolution The motion of one object around another object - The Earth revolves around the sun every 365.24 days
Earth's Rotation A spinning motion - Earth takes 24 hours to spin once, which equals one day
Rotation Axis The line on which an object rotates
Solstice A day when the sun is at its highest or lowest point in the sky
Equinox When night and day are equal lengths
