| Revolution | Movement of an object around another object |
| Orbit | Path an object takes around another object |
| Gravitational Force | Force of attraction between objects of mass; larger mass = more gravitational pull |
| Season | Yearly changes on Earth due to its axial tilt and revolution |
| Lunar Cycle | Repeated sequence of the moon revolving around Earth |
| Axis | The imaginary line that goes through the poles of any object |
| Moon Phase | Changes in the appearance of the Moon as it revolves around Earth |
| About 24 hours | The time it takes Earth to complete one full rotation |
| About 365 days | The time it takes Earth to complete one full revolution |
| About 29 1/2 days | The time it takes the Moon to complete one full revolution (and rotation) |
| 23 1/2 degrees | The tilt of Earth on its axis |
| Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter | The pattern of seasonal changes from some places on Earth |
| Counterclockwise | The direction Earth rotates and revolves |
