| Haematemesis | Blood in the vomit |
| Stercoracous vomit | Faeces in the vomit |
| Regurgitation | Expulsion of undigested food from the oesophagus/stomach |
| Mucopurulant | Discharge containing mucous and pus |
| Serosangineous | Blood tinged discharge |
| Hypothermia | Low body temperature |
| Hyperthermia | High body temperature |
| Pulse deficit | Irregularity between heart rate and peripheral pulse |
| Bounding pulse | Fast, strong pulse |
| Dyspnoea | Difficulty breathing |
| Polyuria | Increased urine production |
| Anuria | No urine production |
| Dysuria | Difficulty urinating |
| Constipation | Infrequent/inability to pass faeces |
| Tenesmus | Straining to pass faeces |
| Haematochezia | Fresh blood in the faeces |
| Emesis | Vomiting |
| Mucoid | Mucous discharge |
