STUDY THE FUNCTIONS OF THE PARTS OF THE PLANTS

| PHOTOSYNTHESIS | It is a process in which plants make their own food. They transform the carbon dioxide in oxygen |
| STOMATA | Small pores in the leaves. They absorb minerals, water and carbon dioxide |
| RAW SAP | It is the mix of nutrients and water. It travels up the stem to the leaves. |
| STAMENS | They are the male reproductive organs. They have two parts: the ANTHER (contains the pollen) and the FILAMENTS |
| ELABORATED SAP | It is the food the plants need to grow. It is produced by the raw sap and the sunlight. It travels down the stem to other parts of the plant |

| PETAL | Petals look like brightly coloured leaves. They protect the inner parts of the flower. Petals together form the COROLLA. |
| SEPAL | They are small green leaves. They protect the flower when it is a bud. |
| PISTIL | This is the female reproductive organ. It is like a bottle. It has 3 parts: STIGMA, STYLE and OVARY. |
