fossil A fossil is a dead organism that lived long ago that has been preserved in some form of rock
metamorphic rock they are rocks that are formed by heated pressure over time that changes shape.
sedimentary rock they are rocks that are formed by pressure form other rocks that takes over lots of years.
igneous rock they are rocks that are formed off of magma or lave that has cooled over time creating glass like rocks.
mold A mold is an impression of an object or organism.
cast a cast is like a mold but is sticks out of the rock.
absolute dating when you find the exact age of an organism
relative dating when you find around the age of an organism but you also dont know the exact age.
Law of Uniformitarianism The assumption that the same natural laws and processes that operate in our present-day scientific observations have always operated in the universe in the past and apply everywhere in the universe.
law of superposition The larger the rock fell to the bottom and the smaller the rock the more it was at the top.
