| metamorphic rock | they are rocks that are formed by heated pressure over time that changes shape. |
| sedimentary rock | they are rocks that are formed by pressure form other rocks that takes over lots of years. |
| igneous rock | they are rocks that are formed off of magma or lave that has cooled over time creating glass like rocks. |
| mold | A mold is an impression of an object or organism. |
| cast | a cast is like a mold but is sticks out of the rock. |
| absolute dating | when you find the exact age of an organism |
| relative dating | when you find around the age of an organism but you also dont know the exact age. |
| Law of Uniformitarianism | The assumption that the same natural laws and processes that operate in our present-day scientific observations have always operated in the universe in the past and apply everywhere in the universe. |
| law of superposition | The larger the rock fell to the bottom and the smaller the rock the more it was at the top. |
