What does homeostasis maintain in the body? A stable internal environment
What is a tissue? A group of similar cells that work together
What type of tissue supports and protects organs? Connective Tissue
What is a collection of two or more tissues that work together to carry out a specialized function in the body called? An organ
What is a group of similar cells working together called? Tissue
What type of tissue covers and protects underlying tissue? Epithelial tissue
What type of tissue sends electrical signals through the body? Nervous tissue
What type of tissue produces movement? Muscle tissue
What can happen to cells if homeostasis is disrupted? Cells may not get the materials they need causing them to be damaged or to die.
What tissue helps your stomach digest food by breaking up food? Muscle tissue
How do organ systems work together to maintain homeostasis? The cardiovascular and circulatory systems work very closely together to deliver the materials cells need to survive
What type of tissue is your stomach lined with? Epithelial tissue
What do organs that work together make up? Organ Systems
