| Decomposer | Breaks down dead organisms, waste, and non-living materials for energy. |
| Transfer | Move from one place to another. |
| Producer (Plants) | Uses sunlight to make its own food for energy. |
| Consumer | Eats other organisms for energy. |
| Food Web | Multiple food chains connected to show the path of food energy in an ecosystem. |
| Food Chain | Straight path of food energy from one organism to another in an ecosystem. |
| Sun | Star that provides light and heat to Earth . |
| Predator | Organism that hunts and eats another organism for energy. |
| Energy | Needed to do work. |
| Omnivore | Animal that gets energy by eating BOTH plants and animals. |
| Ecosystem | Community of living and non-living things. |
| Herbivore | Animal that gets energy by eating ONLY plants. |
| Carnivore | An animal that gets energy by eating ONLY other animals. |
| Rotate | To turn, or spin. |
| Revolve | To move around another object. |
