Igneous Rocks A rock that forms after molten earth material cools down and hardens
Metamorphic Rocks A type of rock that has been changed by A Lot of heat or pressure
Sedimentary Rocks A combination of smaller rocks into one bigger rock
Intrusive A type of igneous rock that’s formed from magma forced into other rocks underground
Extrusive Rocks that have been extruded at the earth’s surface as lava or other volcanic deposits
Compaction The exertion of force on something so that it can becomes more dense
Cementation The binding together of particles or other materials together by cement
Foliated Thin sheets of rocks that have been compact and pressured on top of each other creating layers
