Veins Carry blood back the the heart
Arteries Carry blood away from the heart
Heart Muscular organ that pumps blood through the circulatory system
Atrium Chamber of the heart that receives blood from veins and forces it into ventricle or ventricles
Ventricle One of the two large chambers of the heart that collects expel blood received from an atrium
Aorta Main artery that carry’s blood away from the heart to the rest of the body
Capillary blood vessels that form a network between the arterioles and venules
Red Blood Cell contain a protein called hemoglobin, which carries oxygen from the lungs to all parts of the body
White Blood are the cells of the immune system that are involved in protecting the body against both infectious disease and foreign invaders
Hemoglobin a red protein responsible for transporting oxygen in the blood of vertebrates
