Group A vertical column of elements in the Periodic Table; Elements in a group share chemical properties
Alkali Metal Family Name of the elements in group 1 of the Periodic Tably; most reactive metals
Alkali-Earth Metal Family Name of the elements in group 2 of the Periodic Table; less reactive then alkali metals
Halogen Family Name of the elements in group 17 of the Periodic Table; combine with most metals to form salts
Noble Gas Famliy Name of the elements in group 18 of the Periodic Table; unreactive non-metals
