Microscope Slide | An object you place on a microscope's platform to see the object |
Spatula | A flat flexible blade used to mix, spread, and lift material |
Digital Scale | A device that is used to measure mass of objects or substances, it utilizes an eternal strain gauge |
Distilled Water | Water that's been boiled into vapor and condensed back into a liquid |
Stir Plate | Uses magnetism to stir liquids |
Pipette | A tool used to transport a measured volume of liquid |
Funnel | A tube or pipe that is wide at the top and narrow at the bottom, used for guiding liquid or powder into a small opening |
Incubator | An enclosed apparatus providing a controlled environment for the case of protecting things |
Beaker | A lipped cylindrical glass container that has laboratory use, can be up to 5% off |
Volumetric Flask | A glass flask used to hold chemical liquids or mixtures, most accurate |
Syringe | A tool used to inject or withdraw fluids |
Autoclave | Uses heat and pressure to sterilize solids, liquids, hollows, and various instruments |
Cuvette | Holds samples for spectroscopic analysis |
Test tube | A thin glass tube that is used to hold small amounts of material for testing |
Analytical Balance | Used for accurate weighing of samples and precipitates, measures difference of mass of 0.1 milligrams. |
Kim Wipes | They are cleaning wipes that are used to clean the equipment, don't leave fibers behind |
Mortar and Pestle | This tool is used to crush, grind, and mix materials |
Spectrophotometer | An instrument used for measuring the light intensity of an object or liquid |
Stir Rod | Used for mixing liquids or solids |
Collection Jar | Can be used for specimen collection, transport, and storage |
Graduated cylinder | a tool to measure volume of liquid |

Crucible | A ceramic or metal container in which metals or other substances may be melted or subjected to very high temperatures |

Fume Hood | Local ventilation device used to limit exposure to hazardous fumes |
Weight Boat | Open container that's disposable and used for weighing food or samples |
Desiccator | seal-able container made of glass or plastic used for preserving moisture sensitive items |
Muffle furnace | High temperature oven that can be used to heat up soil samples |
Erlenmeyer Flask | Able to be sealed for heating, shaking, or stirring without spilling, measures liquids |
Rubber Stopper | A small tapered plug used to seal the opening of test tubes, flasks and other laboratory equipment, usually made of rubber or cork |
Slide Cover | Small squares of glass that covers the specimen on microscope slide |
