Ex.wrist and ankle bones. 3.Flat bones= Thin,flat bones.Ex.skull, sternum,ribs,scapula. 4.Irregular bones Ex. spi
What is the largest and smallest bones in the body? Largest= thigh bone (femur) Smallest= bones of the inner ear (malleus, incus and stapes) aka (hammer,anvil and stirrup)
What are the two types of Endocrine glands and give an example? Endocrine glands=secrete chemicals into the blood Ex.thyroid,adrenal,thymus,pancreas Exocrine glands= secrete chemicals into ducts Ex.sweat,oil,mucus, digestive glands
Which Endocrine Gland produces Insulin? The Pancreas is an organ that also functions as an Endocrine Gland. It produces a digestive hormone called Insulin.
Which Endocrine Glands are important in controlling growth and metabolism? Thyroid and Pituitary glands
What are the major organs/structures of the Urinary System? Kidneys, ureters, bladder, urethra.
What organ serves as the "filter" of the Urinary System? The Kidney.
