| Rotation | Period of 24 hours or the time it takes Earth to make one complete spin on its axis. |
| Stars | Earth’s rotation during the night gives the FALSE appearance that the ‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐ move across the sky. |
| Sundial | Instrument showing the time by using the shadow of a pointer cast by the Sun onto a surface marked with times. |
| Axis | An imaginary line around which the Earth spins. |
