Lifting and Moving Patients
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Emergency Move | When scene is hazardous, care of life-threatening conditions requires re-positioning, you must reach other patients |
| Urgent Move | The required treatment can be performed only if the patient is moved, factors at scene cause patient decline |
| Types of Emergency Moves | SINGLE: Clothes, shoulder, firefighter, incline, foot, blanket TWO: two rescuer assist, and firefighter carry with assist |
| Non-Urgent Move | No immediate threat to life, patient moved when ready for transportation |
| Types of Backboards | Spine Board, stair chair, power stretcher, portable, basket. flexible |
