Ocean Floor!

What is the continental shelf?? The part of the continent located under the water is known as the continental shelf.THis is the shallowest part of the ocean floor,wher the continent meets the ocean floor.
What is the continental slope?? The steep slope where the continental shelf drops to te bottom of ocean floor.
What is the Mid-Ocean Ridge?? On the bottom of the ocean, there is a moutain range that divides the ocean floor in two.
What is a rift zone?? In the center of the mid-ocean ridge there is a narrow valley called a rift.
What is a trench?? A trench is a steep sided canyon in the bottom of the ocean. The trenches are the deepest part of the ocean basin.
What is the ocean basin?? This part of the ocean is made up of low hills & flat plains.
What is a seamount?? A seamount is an underwater volcanoe.
