| gravity | a pulling force that helps us stay on the ground |
| contact forces | any force that requires contact to occur eg. pushing, kicking etc |
| friction | Friction is the resistance of motion when one object rubs against another |
| spring balance | the tool to measure the weight of something |
| weight | how much some weights |
| spring tide | the large rise or fall of the tide at or soon after the new or full moon |

| probe | a spacecraft that collects information about other planets |
| telescope | takes pictures of planets and stars |
| solar eclipse | when the moon blocks the sun |
| static electricity | occurs when there is a build up of electrons on something, giving it an electric charge. |
