| Volume | The quantity of three dimensional space occupied by a liquid, solid, or gas. Usually expressed in liters, cubic meters or millimeters. |
| Standard Units | Units with agreed-upon values that are used by different individuals to measure the same thing. |
| solution | a specific type of mixture where a substance is dissolved into another |
| physical properties | size, flexibility, shape, reflectivity, color, texture, weight, conductivity, soulaility |
| temperature | how hot or cold something is |
| weight | the heaviness of an object and; force of gravity on mass |
| solid to a liquid | melting |
| solid to a gas | sublimation |
| measurement | the size, length or amount of something as established by measuring |
| property | a characteristic of something observable |
| liquid to a solid | freezing |
| gas to a solid | deposition |
| liquid to a gas | evaporation |
| matter | anything that has mass and takes up space |
