| Wind Energy | Energy from moving air. |
| Sun | Source of Earth’s energy. |
| Non-Renewable Resources | Resources that are limited and CAN'T be replaced. |
| Turbine | Machine that produces energy (power) when it is moved by water, wind, or steam. |
| Geothermal Energy | Energy from the heat in Earth’s core. |
| Solar Energy | Energy from the Sun. |
| Biofuel or Biomass | Energy from once living material. |
| Hydroelectric Energy | Energy from moving water. |
| Alternative Energy | Energy generated in a way that does not use up natural resources. |
| Weathering | The breaking down of rocks into smaller pieces called sediments. (breaks it) |
| Compaction | When sediments are buried deep under layers, the pressure smashes them together in a process called ‐‐‐‐‐. |
| Cementation | Minerals stick sediments together like glue or cement. |
| Deposition | When sediments are deposited (dropped off). |
| Erosion | Process that moves sediments from one place to another. (takes it) |
