Rock cycle

TermDefinition
Rock cycle Earths rocks change from one type in to another overtime due to various earth processes
Igneous rock Formed when lava or magma cools and solidifies.Lava cools quickly magma cools slowly
Metamorphic rock Forced deep underground were heat and pressure cause existing rock to be changed
Sedimentary rock Rock from when particles of other rocks are deposited in layers and are compacted and cemented together
Compaction Occurs when rocks particles are pressed together or pack down by gravity and overlying rocks
Pressure Continuous force exerted on or against an object
