Maritime Air Mass (m) A moist air mass that forms over water
Continental Air Mass (c) A dry air mass that forms over land
Tropical Air Mass (T) A warm air mass that forms near the Equator
Polar Air Mass (P) A cool mass that is formed near the Earth's poles
