| Term | Definition |

| Current | The direction the electricity is moving |
| Electricity Source | Electricity from a battery, solar panel, fuel cell, fossil fuels, or generator |
| Path | A wire that a current flows through |
| Fuse | A safety device consisting of a strip of wire that melts and breaks an electric circuit if the current exceeds safe travel. |
| Switch | Turns a circuit off and on |
| Series Circuit | A circuit in which the electrons have only one path to take. If one light goes out or is removed, they will all go out. |
| Parallel Circuit | A circuit in which the electrons have many paths to take. If one light goes out or is removed, the others will stay on. |
| Transmit | To pass on to another |
| Medium | A substance or material that makes it possible for the transfer of energy from one location to another |
| Generator | A device that uses magnets to change mechanical energy into electricity |
| Force | A push or a pull |
| Friction | The force in which two objects rub against each other and it causes them to heat up or slow down |
