Sphere the shaped like a ball, with all points on the surface at an equal distance from the center
geosphere the Earth's entire solid body
Gravity the force that every object exerts on all other objects because of their masses.
Density the amount of mass in a material per unit volume.
Crust The brittle, rocky outer layer of Earth.
mantle the thick middle layer in the solid part of Earth.
lithosphere grouped crust and the upper most mantle into a rigid layer.
asthenosphere plastic layer (rocks that flow in this way) within the mantle.
core the dense metallic center of Earth.
magnetosphere the outer part of the magnetic field that interacts with these particles.
landform topographic features formed by processes that shape Earth's surface.
plains landforms with low relief and low elevation.
plateaus areas with low relief and high elevation.
mountains landforms with high relief and high elevation.
