producer an organism that makes its own food
consumer an organism that obtains energy by feeding on other organism.
hrbivore organisms that only eat plants.
carnivore consumers that only eat meat
omnivore consumers that eat both meat and plants.
scavenger consumers that eat off of dead animals
decompose to break down biotic wastes and organisms and return the raw materials.
food chain when one organism eats another obtains energy
food web consists of many overlapping food chains in an ecosystem.
energy pyramid the amount of energy that move from one feeding level to another.
evaporation the process by which molecules of liquid water absorb and chges into gas.
precipitation any form of water
condensation when gas changes into liquid
nitrogen fixation the process of changing free nitrogen as into nitrogen compounds that plants can absorb and use.
