TermDefinition
Radioactivity The spontaneous breaking up of unstable nuclei with the emission of one or more types of radiation
Catalyst A substance which alters the rate of reaction, but is not itself used up in the reaction
Rate of Reaction The change in concentration per unit of time of any one reactant or product
Concentration The amount of solute dissolved in a given volume of solution
Half Life The time taken for half of the nuclei in any given sample to decay
