What does it mean when you say the Earth rotates? The Earth spins on its titled axis.
How long does it take the Earth to rotate one time? 24 hours or 1 day
How long does it take the Earth to revolve around the sun 1 time? 1 year or 365 days
How long does it take for the moon to rotate around the sun? 29 1/2 days
The Earths axis is tilted how many degrees? 23.5
What does a new moon look like? A new moon is completely dark. There is no light reflecting for us to see
What happens during a solar eclipse? The moon falls directly in front of the sun and casts a shadow on the Earth.
What happens during a lunar eclipse? The Earth casts a shadow on the moon. The moon refracts or bends the suns light making it appear as a reddish orange to us in the sky.
What are some similarities between the Earth and the Moon? Craters, Gravity, Rocky, Dense, the both orbit something
