Chapter 1 lesson 2 populations

Birth Rate The numbers of births per 1,000 individuals in a certain time period
Death rate The number of deaths per 1,000 individuals in a certain time peroid
immigration Movement of indiviuals into a populations area
emigration Movement of individuals out of a populations area
Limiting Factor An envionmental factor that causes a population to decrease in size
Population Density `The number of individuals in an area
Carrying Capacity The largest population that a particular enviorment can support
