Procedure #19

CNA Procedure: Supine Position

Step NumberStep
Step 1 Do initial steps.
Step 2 Lower head of bed.
Step 3 Move resident to head of bed if necessary.
Step 4 Position resident flat on back with legs slightly apart.
Step 5 Align resident's shoulder and hips.
Step 6 Use supportive padding and/ or float heels, if necessary.
Step 7 Do final steps.
