What is the first step of the scientific method? Question or Problem
What is the second step of the scientific method? Research
What is the third step of the scientific method? Hypothesis
What is the fourth step of the scientific method? Procedure
What is the fifth step of the scientific method? Experiment
What is the last step of the scientific method? Results/Conclusion
What is the question or problem in the scientific method? What you are trying to discover in the experiment based on observations.
What is the research part of the scientific method? Looking up information on the topic prior to doing the experiment.
What is the hypothesis in the scientific method? An educated guess written as an if, then statement.
What is in the procedure step of the scientific method? A list of needed materials and detailed directions for the experiment.
What is involved in the experiment step of the scientific method? Where you will collect data based on your observations.
What is the independent variable? The one factor that is changed in the experiment.
What is the dependent variable? It is what's being measured in the experiment.
What is the constant variable? The variables that remain the same in the experiment.
What are the materials? All of the items needed to do the experiment.
What are the results? What you did? What happened?
What is the conclusion of the experiment? Was your hypothesis correct? What might you do differently next time?
