Physical Properties
Term | Definition |

Conductor | A material that allows heat or energy to pass through. |
Insulator | A material that does not allow heat or energy to pass through. |
Luster | An object that has a shiny surface. |
Malleable | The ability of a substance to be pounded into a thin sheet. |
Mass | Anything that has matter and takes up space. |
Volume | The amount of space an object takes up. |
Metal | An element that is usually a solid, shiny conductor. |
Non Metal | An element that is usually not shiny, easy to break apart, and does not conduct heat or electricity. |
Metalloid | An element that has properties of metals and non metals. (such as the element Boron) |
