| eccentricity | deviation of a curve or orbit from circularity. |
| period | refers to how long an object takes to complete one cycle of revolution |

| area | the amount of space that the surface of a place or shape covers. |
| revolution | the movement of one object around a center or another object |
| solar year | the time that the Sun takes to return to the same position in the cycle of seasons, |
| collisions | collide violently with an obstacle |
| aphelion | the point in the orbit of a planet, asteroid, or comet at which it is farthest from the sun. |
| perihelion | the point in the orbit of a planet, asteroid, or comet at which it is closest to the sun. |
| force | energy as an attribute of physical action or movement (push or pull) |
| inertia | existing state of rest or uniform motion in a straight line, unless that state is changed by an external force. |
