| SENSOR | A device which detects or measures a physical property and records, indicates, or otherwise responds to it. |
| ARDUINO | Arduino is a hardware and software company, that designs and manufactures single-board microcontrollers and microcontroller kits for building digital devices and interactive objects that can sense and control both physically and digitally. |
| VEX ROBOTICS | The VEX Robotics Competition, presented by the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation, is the largest and fastest growing middle school and high school robotics program globally. |
| ROBOT | A machine capable of carrying out a complex series of actions automatically, especially one programmable by a computer. |
| MINDSTORMS | Lego Mindstorms is a hardware software platform produced by Lego for the development of programmable robots based on Lego building blocks. |
| EDISON ROBOT | The Edison robot is a powerful, engaging tool for teaching kids computational thinking and computer programming in a hands-on way. |
| MAKEBLOCK | mBlock is a graphical programming environment based on Scratch 2.0 Open Source Code that makes it easy to program Arduino projects and create interactive applications. |
| AUTONOMOUS | Denoting or performed by a device capable of operating without direct human control. |
