Water Cycle

| water cycle | the continuous movement of water from the ocean to the atmosphere to the land and back to the ocean |
| weather | the short-term state of the atmosphere including temperature, humidity, precipitation, and visibility |
| condensation | the change of state from a gas to a liquid |
| precipitation | any form of water (rain, snow, sleet, or hail) that falls to the Earth's surface from the clouds |
| runoff | rainfall that does not soak into the ground and travels over the surface |
| evaporation | when water from the Earth's surface changes into water vapor due to the sun's energy |
| peroclation | downward movement of water through pores (holes) in the soil due to gravity |
