Heredity Passing of traits from a parent or offspring
Trait A different form of a characteristic
Characteristic A feature that has different forms in a population
Dominate Trait The trait that is the stronger of two traits and it shows up
Recessive Trait The traits are the weaker of two trait and usually hidden unless there are two of them.
Gregor-Mendel The father of Genetics and Heredity
Ratio A relationship between two different numbers that are often expressed as a fraction
Gene Is one set of instructions for an inherited trait
Allele A form of a gene gives a characteristic, such as (hair color)
Phenotype An organisms appearance of other detectable characteristics
Genotype The entire make-up of a organism, and the combination of genes for one or more specific traits
Homo-Zygous Same or alike trait
Hetero-Zygous unlike or different trait
Probability The like-hood that a possible future event will occur in any given instance of the event
Punnett- Square Used to organize all possible ways of offspring from particular parents
Genetics Its the study of genes, It determines the way we look, act, and it determines our personality
