Aylesbury Mushroom Case (1972) Minister of labour had to consult before writing regulations about mushrooms growing. Failed to do this and as much the regulation were invalid this was procedural ultra vires.
R v Swindon NHS Trust (2006) Breast cancer patient was refused medication as her case was not deemed "exceptional"- considered unreasonable
Strickland v Hayes BC (1896) There was a by-law prohibiting obscene singing considered unreasonable as it covered acts in private - unreasonable
A-G v Fulham Corporation (1921) The council set wash houses for people to do their laundry, they also decided to run a paid for laundry service. Deemed substantive ultra vires as it was beyond their powers
