| Battery | a source of electricity created from stored chemical energy |
| Energy Source | a place where energy comes from such as batteries, fuel, the sun, and objects in motion |
| Lightbulb | a filament held by two stiff wires surrounded by a clear glass bulb |
| Filament | the material in a lightbulb usually a thin wire that makes light when heated by electric current |
| Wire | a metallic or other solid substance through which current flows |
| System | a group of connected objects |
| Electricity | a flow of energy through a circuit that produces light, heat, motion, or sound |
| Electric current | the flow of electricity through a current |
| Circuit | a pathway for the flow of electric current |
| Terminal | a place where electricity moves from one component to the next |
| Component | one item in a circuit |
| Transfer | to move |
| Contact point | the places on a component where connections are made to allow electricity to flow |
| Bulb case | the point on bulb for connection |
| Bulb casing | the side of bulb for connection |
