mantle thick middle layer of the Earth
sphere object shaped like a ball with all points equidistant from the center
geosphere Earth's entire solid body and it's largest system
biosphere contains all of Earth's living organisms
density mass per unit volume; D = m/v
crust thin, brittle outer rocky surface layer of Earth
lithosphere solid and rigid outer layer of Earth that includes the crust and upper mantle
