Static Electricity Electrical charge that builds up on an object
Current Electricity Steady movement of charges through certain materials
Series Circuit Circuit that has only one path for an electric current to follow
Parallel Circuit Circuit that has more than one path for an electric current to follow
Conductor Materials that let electric charges travel through them easily
Insulator Material that does not let current electricity move through it easily
Magnet Object that attracts iron and a few other (but not all) metals
Magnetic poles Parts of a magnet at which its force is strongest
Magnetic Field Space around a magnet in which the force of the magnet acts
Electromagnet Temporary magnet caused by an electric current
Generator Device that produces an electric current
Electric Motor Device that changes electrical energy to energy of motion
Potential Energy Energy that an object has because of its position or its condition
Kinetic Energy Energy of motion
Hydroelectric Power Energy made by using the kinetic energy of falling water
Geothermal Energy Heat that comes from the inside of Earth
Solar Energy Power of the Sun
