Scientific Report sub headings

TermDefinition
Title a general statement of what the experiment is about
Hypothesis a suggested explanation for a group or of facts or phenomena, an educated guess as to why something happens
Aim what you are trying to find out by doing the experiment
Method how you did the experiment; the steps take to carry out the experiment, often include a diagram
Results recorded data from the investigation, include qualitative observations (seen, felt, heard, smelt) and quantitative observations (measurements and units)
Conclusion a general statement or generalisation that explains your results
Discussion a comment about your conclusion, any problems or difficulties encountered while doing the experiment or things you would do to improve your experiment
