origin and insertion

Muscles that move the pectoral girdle: Trapezius and pectoralis minor
muscles that move the upper arm: pectoralis major, teres major, latissimus dorsi, deltoid, and teres minor.
muscles that move the forearm: biceps brachii, brachialis, brachioradialis, and triceps brachii.
muscles of mastication: lateral pterygoid, medial pterygoid, masseter, temporalis.
muscles that move the head: sternocleidomastoid (SCM), splenius capitus.
muscles that move the trunk: external oblique, internal oblique, transversus abdominus.
muscles of the pelvic girdle (that move the thigh): gluteus maximus (largest muscle in the body), gluteus medius, gluteus minimus.
muscles that extend the calf at the knee (quadriceps): rectus femoris, vastus lateralis, vastus intermedius, vastus medialis.
Muscles that flex the calf at the knee (hamstrings): hamstring (biceps femoris, semimembranosis, semitendinosis), plus the sartorius (longest muscle in the body).
muscles that move the ankle, foot, and toes: peroneus longus, gastrocnemius.
teres major OIA (origin, insertion, abducts): O - scapula, I- humerus, A-adducts, extends and medially rotates the arm.
latissimus dorsi OIA: O-vertebrae (thoracic and sacral) and pelvis (ilium), I-humerus, A-extends, adducts, medially rotates arm and pulls shoulder downward.
deltoid OIA: O-clavicle, acromion process and scapula, I-humerus (deltoid tuberosity), A-abducts, rotates, extends arm.
biceps brachii OIA: O-scapula, I-radius, A-flex the forearm.
brachialis OIA: O-humerus, I-ulna, A-flex the forearm.
brachioradialis OIA: O-humerus, I-radius, A-flex the forearm.
Platysma OIA: O-fascia over pectoralis major and deltoid muscles, I-mandible and skin of chin and cheek, A-depresses the jaw and tightens the skin of the neck.
pterygoideus OIA: O-sphenoid bone (pterygoid plate), I-mandible, A-opens the jaw and helps move them sideways.
masseter OIA: O-zygomatic arch, I-mandible, A-closes jaw.
sternocleidomastoideus (SCM) OIA: O-sternum and clavicle, I-temporal bone (mastoid process), A-pulls head to one side and down and flexes vertebral column.
gluteus maximus OIA: O-ilium, sacrum, coccyx, I-femur and fascia of thigh, A-extends leg
glutues medius OIA: O-ilium, I-femur, A-abduct and medially rotates thigh.
glutues minimus OIA: O-ilium, I-femur, A-abduct and medially rotates thigh.
rectus femoris OIA: O-ilium, I-tibia (via patella and patellar ligament), A-extends leg and flexes thigh.
vastus intermedius OIA: O-femur, I-tibia, A-extend leg at knee.
vastus lateralis OIA: O-femur, I-tibia, A-extend leg at knee.
vastus medialus OIA: O-femur, I-tibia, A-extend leg at knee.
semimembranosus OIA: O-pelvis (ischium), I-tibia, A-flex leg and extend thigh.
Biceps femoris OIA: O-pelvis (ischium) and femur, I-fibula and tibia, A-flexes leg and rotates it laterally.
semitendinosus OIA: O-pelvis (ischium), I-tibia, A-flex leg and extend thigh.
sartorius OIA: O-pelvis (ilium), I-tibia, A-flexes thigh and leg.
peroneus longus OIA: O-fibula, I-1st metarsal and medial cuneiform, A-flex and evert foot.
gastrocnemius OIA: O-femur, I-calcaneus (via achilles tendon), A-flex leg and foot.
Muscles of facial expression zygomaticus, orbicularis oris, orbicularis oculi, playtsma.
