Safety vocabulary

Hard hat protects your head from low hanging or falling objects.
Ear plugs protects the ears from loud noises.
Respirator protects lungs from dust, fume, gasses and vapors.
Vest a sleeveless, close-fitting waist-length garment worn over a shirt, typically having no collar and buttoning down the front.
Fire retardant Jacket designed to be worn during activities where the wearer will constantly be exposed to flames, radiant heat and potential molten substance splash.
Face shield provides additional protection for the face from particles, and chemical splashes but is not impact resistant.
Safety glasses protects the eyes from impacts with flying objects.
Coveralls a one-piece protective garment worn for heavy manual work.
Cut resistant gloves designed to protect the wearer's hands from cuts while working with sharp tools.
Sleeves the part of a garment that wholly or partly covers a person's arm.
Dust mask is a flexible pad held over the nose and mouth by elastic or rubber straps to protect against dusts encountered during construction.

Steel toe shoes is a durable boot or shoe that has a protective reinforcement in the toe which protects the foot from falling objects.

Chaps protects the legs from heat impact and cuts or abrasions while welding or cutting
Boots protects foot from cuts and abrasions.
Goggles protects the eyes from slashes or other liquids
Gloves Protects the hands from chemicals, rough or sharp parts or heat.
Welding helmet protects the eyes and face from bright and heat when welding.
