| slender | small or narrow in circumference or width when compared to length or height, can be long but thin |
| continuous | without stopping |
| surrounding | something that is around or on the edges of something else |
| compared | to look at or think about two things to discover similarities or differences |
| portion | a limited part of a whole, part of something |
| aiming | to point toward a object |
| time-exposure | a picture taken for more than the usual length of time |
| camera shutter | part of a camera that once stayed open to take a picture over time--a time-exposure photograph |
