Dialogue When a character is speaking . In books look for " "
Narrator The person or animal telling the story
Synonym 2 words with the same meaning. Ex. friendly and kind
Antonyms 2 words with the opposite meaning. Ex. friendly and rude
Setting when and where the story takes place
Cause Why something happened
Effect What happened because of the cause
Problem Conflict or what is going wrong
Solution How the conflict or problem is solved
Character Trait Words to describe a characters personality. Ex. John Midas was GREEDY
Main idea What the text is mostly about
Text Words you read. Ex. Passage, article, story, book
Summary Somebody, wanted, but, so, then. Are short retelling of the most important events.
Fact Something you can prove. (Someone can see and take a picture to show others.)
Opinion What you think. Ex. You should eat pizza.
Theme the lesson or message
