Mixtures & Solutions

TermDefinition
Mixture A combination of two or more substances that keep their properties and can be easily separated.
Solution A mixture where one substance is dissolved into another substance.
Dissolve When a solid is mixed into a liquid and spreads out evenly until the particles are too small to see.
Solubility The ability of something to dissolve in a liquid.
Physical Property A way to describe the appearance of matter.
Physical Change A change in the appearance of matter (such as ice melting into water).
