Music 110: Rhythm

Rhythm movement of music in time; what moves music forward
Beats regular pulsation; a basic unit of rhythm
Meter collected, or patterns, of accented and unaccented beats

Syncopation accent shifted to a weak beat or an offbeat
Polyrhythm simultaneous use of conflicting rhythmic patterns
