What is life

What are six characteristics of all living things? cellular organization, similar chemical makeup, use of energy, respond to their surroundings, grow and develop, and reproduction
What is an organism? A living thing
What are cells and where do they come from? The building blocks of all organisms, and other cells
What are the different types of cells? Unicellular and multicellular
What is a unicellular organism and multi cellular organism? unicellular: an organism made up of one cell multi cellular: an organism made up of many cells
What must all living things satisfy? the basic need for food, water, living space, and stable internal conditions
What are the four main chemicals shared by all living things? carbohydrates,protein, lipids, and nucleic acid
What is the idea that all living things arise from other nonliving things called? spontaneous generation
