| Biotic Factors | The living parts of an ecosystem |
| Abiotic Factors | Non living things in ecosystems Ex. soil, water, temperature, sunlight |
| Organism | A single form of life |
| Population | All members of one kind of organism that live in a particular area |
| Communties | A group of different populations of organisms |
| Ecosystem | A collection of different communities and and the abiotic factors. |
| Deforestation | The clearing of forest lands |
| Ecology | The study of interactions between living things and their environments |
| Tropical Rain Forest | It has direct sunshine so it is always humid, hot, and wet |
| Biome | A large-scale ecosystem |
| Desert | Land that receives barely any water, hot during the day and cold at night |
| Tundra | low temperatures and long winters, no plants can grow |
| Deciduous Forest | Having many trees, moderate temperatures, and rainfall as well as four seasons |
