TermDefinition
Biotic factors The living things in an ecosystem are called biotic factors. Living things include plants, animals, bacteria, fungi and more.
abiotic factors The non living parts of an ecosystem are called abiotic factors. In an ecosystem some abiotic factors are sunlight, temperature atmospheric gases water and soil.
organism an individual animal, plant, or single-celled life form.
population A population is the number of living things that live together in the same place.
communities a group of different populations
ecosystem a biological community of interacting organisms and their physical environment.
