Lesson 4.1.1

scientist Asks questions about the natural world.
science The study of the natural world
observation Information collected using the five senses.
investigation To observe or study by close examination and systematic inquiry
hypothesis An idea of explanation that can be tested with an investigation.
evidence Data gathered during an investigation.
experiment A fair test that shows how one thing causes another thing to happen.
conclusion An explanation based on evidence. Data supports your explanation.
question A sentence worded or expressed in a way to seek information.
