biodegradable waste products that can be broken down by microorganisms into harmless substances that can be used by other organisms
ozone a molecule of oxygen in the upper atmosphere that filters ultraviolet radiation from the Sun
CFCs chlorofluorcarbons are chemicals used in spray propellants that damage the ozone layer
