Science Terms Week 6

QuestionAnswer
What is intensity? A measure of how loud or soft a sound is.
What is absorption? The taking in of sound energy by an object.
What is frequency? A measure of the number of waves that pass in a second.
What is reflection? The bouncing of light, sound or heat off an object.
What is vibration? A quick back and forth motion.
What is amplitude? A measure of the amount of energy in a wave.
What is pitch? A measure of how high or low sound is.
What is transmission? The passsing of sound waves through a material.
What is wavelength? The distance between a point on one wave and the identical point on the next wave.
